V8 Supercars.

Bek and I bought her dad the V8 supercars 2 playstation game for his birthday yesterday. We popped round to say hello and happy birthday, and switched it on to have a go...
One thing the rally guys tought me was to never brake or accelerate while going round the apex of a corner (the middle point of the corner). So you are going hard into a corner, you brake heavily (without locking them) then turn hard into the corner (either getting sideways or huggin the racing line) and you accelerate hard out of the corner once you're in the right spot! I found this very useful during the drive and it allowed me to push harder.
I also found it useful in the playstation game as it followed the same principles very well, since its got a great physics engine built into the game...so thats just a handy tip for all those racers out there!
Braking on a PlayStation game? You've gone soft.
yes i know...
but i learnt it the hard way after losing mine, or Nick's front wheel on the first corner in 3 consecutive races...
I think I have to take the blame for the tyre losses Sim, but I'll master it one of these days... Nick
No wonder I'm terrible at racing games, I never seem to brake at the right point!
