This article is well worth the read if you are a rev-head...

0-100kph in 4.97sec!!

Surely we need to stop thinking of the
HSV as a "re-vamped" holden and start putting it into the catergory of "near-supercar". They have...but i don't think the public think that quite yet. Either way, you can't argue with 4.97sec and 285kph top speeds, classy interior and the latest technology to match Ferrari; all for under $80k

Nothing in Europe uner $200,000 matches this performance apparently!

i wish i had one....

Someone send a link to Top Gear - I want to see them review one. The Monaro reviews were unreal.

D'you hear about the accident with the Top Gear presenter? Harrod i think his name was, young guy.
Crashed a jet-dragster at 470+kph while filming...apparently there are rumours of brain damage.

    not good,
    not good at all.

    I think it was Stig.

And although I can appreciate the cultural and performance aspects of the Aussie muscle cars I still haven't managed to make sense of the need for so much power in a car that's big enough for a family.

They're not sports cars, they're performance cars. But why does Average Joe and his family need performance?

Answer: to satisfy his revhead urges.

And that's what creates danger on the roads.
